The January/February issue of “FotoVolt” is online. The article “Thermal performance of facades with photovoltaic glazing”, on page 14, investigates the thermal performance of semitransparent photovoltaic elements integrated to buildings by means of laboratory measurements of the coefficient of solar heat gain. The study helps designers make informed decisions about the adoption of BIPV. See on page 42 the article “Drone for defect detection in PV modules”, which presents an approach for inspection of modules using a sCMOS sensor connected to a drone, which makes use of electroluminescence to detect defects. Furthermore, on page 50, the article “Photovoltaic energy for low-income consumers with home-based ICU”, describing the project that promoted a reduction in the consumption of electric energy and demand at peak hours, with installation of photovoltaic energy generation system and lighting efficiency. The targets were low-income consumer units that use home ICUs.
